Mahri's StorySitting on the edge of the dock feels like sitting on the edge of the world. Everywhere I look is endless, continuing forever into oblivion. The sea laps gently at my legs, each salty wave burning the cuts and scratches. They cover my entire body. Eventually I decide to pull them out of the painful beauty of the sea, and instead wrap my arms around them. I yearn to swim, but know how terrible the pain will be. I have learned to deal with pain, but I refuse to inflict it on anyone, including myself. I watch as the pink sky melts into red, and then brown, then finally the black of night. The SpeedometerThe speedometer on the car was pushing 90, but I didnt care. The windows were open and despite the fact that it was early February and the wind was cold, I was hot. The country roads were abandoned, my car took the sharp curves at a rate that would have scared me on a normal day. Tonight though, 90 wasnt fast enough. Now they just pretend to care about me, these nurses and doctors, but I see through their masks. They mostly leave me to myself though. And then theres her. The one person who wont leave me alone is the one I most wish for release from. Stacie the walls of this room seem to whisper the name to me Stacie I want to tell them to shut up, to leave me alone, but they never listen. I doubt something like thOne Last Photo

Shian Ch. 1Among the debris and rubble, scattered upon the dust laden parts of machinery, a single green sprout was peering from the ground. It was the first piece of green that had been on Callisto for 37 years. It was the first sign that life was returning to the immortal planet. That life was perched on top of a jagged cliff, and was peering down on the lost city of Shian. It was very much alive, and very much alone. Or so it was thought . The dull, sullen thud of footsteps echoed throughout the valley, shaking everything. They created indentions in the sand, each crevice and groove now a perfect mark to be seenShian Ch. 1
